The weekend before you posted this, I had the exact same idea. I managed to do exactly what you did the previous week. I installed the Guest Additions using the XP Compatibility settings and I was gonna make a post about this, but seems you beat me to the punch!I was pretty surprised about this, but there is ONE more thing.This game here is Touhou 13: Ten Desires.
It normally requires DirectX 9 to work. Getting the guest additions installer to work in safemode is pretty much impossible with my current skill set, but there is a way around to do this that I will get to in another post (unless you beat me to it xD). Of course, I tested this with Aero and sadly, it doesn't work. All I get is a black screen, probably has to do with the fact that the early versions of aero are using some kind of call not present in the WINE drivers VirtualBox uses.Also, anyone have any tips on getting audio to sound good and not super choppy in VirtualBox?
