I can do that with a 32 bit version of photoshop but not the 64 bit version. At least with the V700 software there appears to be no 64 bit version.ThanksMy Epson V750 worked with Vista 64bit, Win7 64bit & now Win10 64 bit. I see no reason the 700 or 800 would not work.I just downloaded the Epson driver that was available at the time.I now use my Epson V750 along with my Nikon CoolScan 4000 ED which never had Nikon support for 64 bit using VueScan. The Nikon has FireWire connection so I installed a FW card in my desktop.Good luck. At least with the V700 software there appears to be no 64 bit version.questions:1. Have you gone to the Epson site and downloaded all the 64-bit drivers/software?2. If so, can you operate the scanner from the OS instead of from Photoshop? Any reason you can't scan first, then bring the scanned image into Photoshop? Ipod 30gb model a1136 manual muscle. First scanning and then opening in Photoshop.

But I prefer to work directly from Photoshop. Apparently the software that runs with the 64 bit operating systems is really 32 but software. When I use the task manager to check the process running it indicates that the Epson softer is running in 32 bit mode. When I use the task manager to check the process running it indicates that the Epson softer is running in 32 bit mode. That's probably true (don't have that scanner, so can't check driver), but that's not a problem. This is because a 64-bit OS such as Windows 10 (64-bit) runs a 32-bit subsystem to allow 32-bit applications to run in a 64-bit environment. See (Windows on Windows 64-bit).I know you say 64-bit version, but exactly which version PS CC (creative cloud), or PSCS6, i.e.

The standalone version?Anyway It sounds like there's no driver available for the 64-bit version of Photoshop which is probably why PS 64-bit can't see the scanner. This may turn out to be a driver limitation where TWAIN drivers aren't supported in 64-bit apps.

You might give Epson's tech support a call on this, but I believe you're need second level support on this one, even just to get an answer since TWAIN is basically old tech. You could also call Adobe and see what they say.The bottom line is if you want to use TWAIN, you'll more than likely have to go with the 32-bit version of PS. Personally, I'd stick with the - Windows 32-bit is limited to 4gig,.Good luck. I can do that with a 32 bit version of photoshop but not the 64 bit version. At least with the V700 software there appears to be no 64 bit version.ThanksI use the Epson Scanning software (Epson Scan) shipped with my Epson V700 Scanner and get excellent results. I chose the setting for the newly scanned output image to be immediately upon scanning to open in Photoshop.

My opinion is that regardless if the software is running in 32 bit - it would not run any faster even if there was a 64 bit driver support - why - because the slowest function in the scanning process is the Scanner - not the processing for scanning an image - such as a Negative or Slide. I am not sure what this is about but Adobe clearly states they do not publish a TWAIN driver to work with 64 bit Photoshop and have not done so for many iterations of the software. There is no technical reason-despite the nonsensical explanation they used to offer on the website- that has to be but that has been Adobe's MO for several years.Just yesterday I scanned some film for the first time in a long time-I miss the size of 35mm SLRs but not the image quality-and had to agonizingly transfer files from one directory to another before opening them in PS. My right index finger may never recover. If you have then processed large scanned images in the 32 bit version of PS you may have noticed there is almost zilch difference in processing times compared to the 64 bit version, something to consider when you read posts recommending 32-64gbs of RAM to run PS. Like you, my wife prefers to scan directly to the image manipulation program, in my case PainShopPro X9, and it will not recognize the V500 scanner I have when I'm using the 64-bit version, it works fine with the 32-bit version. I double checked the Epson website to confirm whether or not a 64-bit driver was available, but apparently not. There are two of us using the scanner, personally I prefer to use the Epson software for scanning and deal with the editing later, my wife prefers to scan straight into PSP, to each his own.
